Family therapy
A calmer home for everyone.
When tension at home affects everyone — shouting matches, silent teenagers, blazing rows over nothing. We help families talk, listen and feel like a team again. From £85 · 75 minutes.
Nobody’s the problem. The pattern is.
Family therapy never puts one person in the dock — not the “difficult” teenager, not the strict parent. Instead we look at the loops everyone’s caught in: the criticism that triggers the slammed door, the slammed door that triggers the worry, the worry that triggers the criticism.
Sessions include whoever needs to be there — parents, children, step-families, grandparents. Younger children are heard through play and gentle conversation; teenagers get a voice that’s taken seriously. Between sessions you’ll practise small, concrete changes: family meetings that work, repair after rows, routines that lower the temperature for everyone.
How we help your family
- Parent–child conflict — from homework wars to teenage shutdowns.
- Blended family adjustment — new roles, new rules, loyalty binds eased.
- Sibling rivalry — fairness, jealousy and constant battles defused.
- Divorce & co-parenting — steady parenting across two homes.
- Big transitions — new schools, moves, illness or loss in the family.
- Family meetings that work — a weekly rhythm for airing and repairing.
Parents often wonder
Not always. Many families start with parents alone to map the dynamic, then bring children in for key sessions. We’ll advise what suits your situation — and children under ten are heard through play, never interrogation.
Absolutely not. If you’re reading this page, you’re already a parent who cares deeply. Our job is to add tools to your care — not to judge what brought you here.
Most families notice real change within eight to twelve sessions. We review progress together every month, and taper off as home life steadies — with a standing invitation to return for tune-ups.
